How it works

From an empty account to a finalised, downloadable UK payslip.

  1. 1

    Create your company

Enter your company name, addresses, PAYE and Accounts Office references, logo and payroll defaults such as pay frequency and pension percentages. You can hold several companies — useful for accountants and bookkeepers managing client payrolls.

  2. 2

    Add your employees

Work through Personal, Employment, Pay, Tax & NI, Pension, Student Loans and Recurring items. Enter the tax code HMRC issued for the employee, their NI category and their pension basis. If you are joining mid-year, record opening year-to-date balances instead of rebuilding old payslips.

  3. 3

    Enter or calculate their pay

Choose automatic — the employee's salary or hourly rate, recurring items and year-to-date figures are loaded and the payslip is calculated for you. Or choose manual and enter each figure, with any overridden value clearly marked.

  4. 4

    Review the payslip

A live preview shows payments, hours, deductions, net pay, year-to-date totals and the full employer cost. Validation warnings flag missing tax codes, unusual overrides, potential minimum wage issues and impossible figures before you commit.

  5. 5

    Download the professional PDF

Finalising assigns a unique payslip reference and stores a snapshot of every rate and input used, so the document can never be altered by later changes. Download a real A4 PDF, duplicate it for the next period, or create a revision if a correction is needed.
